I am so tired of winter, and with impending snow in the forecast, I'm choosing to think, dream and will spring into being. Starting with my new series, Seven Days of Spring!
Day 1: Go Nude! I've talked about the color nude before. Specifically about how nudes can be too taupe, too yellow or too pink when it comes to nude pumps. I've been a huge advocate for the pure nude, but I'm switching gears now. The pink nude, blush is what I'm calling it, is my new obsession! It is everywhere, and it is delicate and lovely.
Look at the back of this gorgeous laser cut dress. I love the plunging V. Laser-cut anything and everything is all the rage right now, so you'll be perfectly on trend with this sweet blush dress.
This shift (they are calling it nude pink) by Ted Baker is adorable. It is reversible, and I can't decide which way I love it more! What's so great about the two looks is you can wear totally different jewelry each way. And I love how they styled it with a black clutch and black sandals. It would be perfect with a pair of blush patent leather pumps too, but being confident wearing this dress with black makes it so versatile!
This one. The fit and flare cut of this gorgeous chiffon dress is great for almost any body type. The flowing back of this dress is so regal. And it's perfect for every special occasion you've booked: engagement photos, a shower, a wedding, Easter, brunch with your besties. You won't have to think of places to wear this, you'll have to make yourself take it off.
The flowing design of this dress is just dreamy. Not only is it gorgeous, but it looks so comfortable too. This is one you'll want to wear when it's going to be a long night, and I can think of at least seven people it's perfect for. There's nowhere to hide in this one!
I can't do a post without a dress from ASOS. This Lavish Alice midi is so cute! And very affordable. I love the white cuffs and collar that give it a wee bit of contrast. This is another dress with a million places to go. Close your eyes and lay your pointer down on your calendar, you'll be good to go in this one!
Not into wearing a dress? No problem. Pair this pretty blouse with your favorite jeans and pointed-toe pumps or suede wedge booties. Add a long, simple necklace and some chandelier earrings to finish the look.
Until tomorrow, my friends. Who knows what Day 2 will bring! Oh and don't forget to subscribe by email.
Hi Krissi! I love the whole nude trend, and I definitely indulge all summer in nude shoes. I am wondering, though, what you think of a full nude dress on paler skin tones? I think it looks great on someone with a deep tan. but I am nervous it will wash out lighter skin. Input appreciated...
ReplyDeleteHi Jane,
DeleteThank you for your comment/question. I think this is where the pink undertones in more of a blush nude or even a peach nude compliment perfectly. I don't think a blush dress will wash out pale skin tones at all, but give it more of a peaches (or strawberries) & cream partnership, if you will.
